Ylenia López is the young woman who plays the role of a gothic, in the series 'Goenkale', although at an artistic level she uses her grandmother's last name: Ylenia Baglietto. Have 24 years. She belonged to the Ipurua Rhythmic Gymnastics Club, where he obtained several Spanish championships, in different modalities. From gymnastics she has made the switch to acting and works on the series 'Goenkale', the oldest of all television series, with 17 years on screen, and also belongs to the theater company Glu-Glu. She is learning what she liked as a child: Performing. And surely we will soon see her playing great roles. The series addresses how one of the new families that settles in Arralde are the Murrietas, formed by Peru (Patxo Telleria) the father, and his children Iker (Antton Agirre) and Eider (Ylenia Baglietto). They hide a secret that if it came to light it would endanger their lives.

-From rhythmic gymnastics and after having been a champion in Spain now in the television program 'Goenkale'. What a jump

-Gymnastics has a lot to do with artistic performance. Both, one or the other you have to interpret a work and show it to the public. Rhythmic gymnastics took the artistic side out of me, no doubt. Both works seem to be facing the public. I started at 4 years old and left it at 17 years old. In my time, we were twice Spanish champions; two in sets, with equipment and as a team we also won, along with many second places.

-What aspects of rhythmic gymnastics have served you now that you are in the world of acting?

-Discipline at the acting level is the same as at the gymnastics level. You have the same feeling knowing that every day you have to do a physical exercise or a television or theater sequence in front of the audience that watches you. Belonging to the Ipurua Club has helped me a lot.

-How was the jump to the world of acting?

-First, I studied high school at La Salle de Azitain. I went to Ireland for a year and then returned to Getxo. I was always very clear that I wanted to be an actress. I knew how to express through the body and I wanted to interpret through the word. For this reason, I enrolled at the Getxo Interpretation Center. I spent 4 years learning acting.

-How did you start your career in the theater?

-When I was in the center of Getxo, with some colleagues we formed an association called: I never theater. Two colleagues continue to act today. The rest of 7, we have work. It was a very important time when preparing theatrical works that we have later performed in Bilbao, Pamplona, along with many theater circuit stages.

-And how did you enter 'Goenkale'?

-A friend told me that there was a casting and last summer I showed up. They wanted new characters. I sent a resume and they called me to play a character that they thought I fit. I did the casting and Olatz Beobide, director of 'Goenkale', called me two weeks later, saying that I had been chosen for the character.

-The character she plays is also very curious.

-Yes, she is a girl who follows gothic fashion. She is 17 years old and I think she follows this style to hide. With her father, you can see that she is very aggressive, but on the street she is very open and she gets along very well with her friends. The series has many advances in technology, from the first steps of the internet to the frequent use of social networks. This season offers to give a more urban vision in the plots, but without ever leaving the original setting, Arralde.

- How is the work in a series of this type?

-The program airs on Mondays and Tuesdays. The recordings are from Monday to Friday. They start at 7:45 and end at 14:45. This does not imply that the characters enter the scene each day. Every day approximately 17 sequences are recorded, distributed among the actors. Each sequence lasts a minute and a half, but it can take about 20 minutes to record. Each actor at most can make 6 sequences. You can go four, three, two or one day a week. Of course it is necessary to be prepared. Every 6 days they give a schedule of what you have to work 6 days later. There is no routine. They give me the scripts and prepare to go out on the set. It also happens that sometimes everything is not followed in order. There are technical interruptions that can lengthen everything.

-In addition there are many episodes.

-The season ends in April. Let's go to chapter 117, it will end with 200. This is the seventeenth season. To continue raising the interest of the audience, you have to put in a lot of actions, just like in the show.

-A frenetic rhythm ... right?

-We go on like churros. The rhythm of television is very striking.

-Does the director of 'Goenkale', Olatz Beobide, say that the important thing is not to be a good actress, but to be very constant?

-Yes effectively. I think the most important thing for an actor is to get to work knowing the role. Working and working is the base. You spend hours and hours learning the script. Everything works out easier for a veteran actress.

-She also takes part in the Glu-Glu theater company.

-Yes, I'm also involved in the theater. Two weeks ago we released a new play 'Nick Maritxu, Nick Bartolo'. I combine theater with television.

-So many things in so little time, do you learn a lot?

-I'm learning a lot at camera level. At 'Goenkale' we work with multi-cameras. You need to know which camera is recording you. It is necessary to control the light, the cameras, the movements. You only learn this by working. And with the actors I have also learned. When I go to the cinema, I am amazed at the great actresses, how they dominate the scene with a simple glance.

-Do you have many projects?

- This was my dream from the beginning, the interpretation. Now of course I am making new dreams. To aspire to more. You can stay on the road, but if you have bigger goals, that's what invites you to keep working. Me being lucky. It's been less than a year since I finished my degree and now I'm working.
