Ylenia Baglietto "Maite and Camino is a free couple that goes out of the established"

Updated: May 12

The day of lesbian visibility has been celebrated in Spain since 2008 to try to promote normality and acceptance of love between women. For this reason we wanted to speak with Ylenia Baglietto, actress who plays Maite in 'Acacias 38'.

Her character is half of #maitino, the couple that forms with Camino. The two are currently separated precisely because their love was not a viable thing a hundred years ago.

In a century things have changed a lot, but why do we still need a day like this? Why are Maite and Camino so successful around the world? Hit play and don't miss the interview!

Maite, an example of naturalness

"Homosexuality has always existed and seeing a woman like Maite, free with her sexuality in those years, makes it possible for people to transfer that to the present day" Ylenia tells us.

Naturalness, in all areas of her life, is one of the first qualities that attracts Maite's attention and undoubtedly what catches a character like this. Just watch the legion of fans eagerly awaiting her return to the series!

Right to privacy

"The day we don't need to come out of the closet will be the day that we have truly evolved," says the actress. That we continue talking about lesbian visibility is another example that freedom is not the same for everyone yet.

Will Maite return?

To protect Camino and start a new life, Maite has no choice but to return to Paris. However, after several weeks, the artist has sent a letter to Camino saying that she does not forget her and that she is looking forward to meeting her. Will this really happen? When?

We will have to keep watching the next chapters of 'Acacias 38' to find out
