Maite y Camino is literally a story of the heart. Of everything it can give us and everything it can take from us. Of surrender and loss. A story where the most relevant thing is to feel. Live and be. To love. Although on the way you know that they will knock you down. That they are going to break you until they can no longer. To beat you until you can no more.
Maite came into Camino's life unexpectedly. Like those great love stories that we have always seen both on the small and on the big screen. A story that was slowly building. Minute by minute. Look to look. With no hurries. Creating a love. Of those pretty ones. Those who sweep inside you. The kind that shows you that life can be a bit different. Something you did not expect. A little more surprising. But it is also a love story of those that, yes or yes, will hurt. One of those that, sooner or later, will bleed you out. Because not all loves, in all ages, were free.
Maite and Camino show us that loving and being loved was not always easy. That the word inverted, pervert ... was at the order of the day. Flagging and reporting was a quick and easy method to do. That understanding and communication were never strong points in a society run from fear. As usual.
That freedom had a very high price. But not to give up. That dreams, even if they are shattered against reality, should not be allowed to escape. Because belief is much stronger than any register norm.
We learned that there is a time for everything. And that during that time patience is the best weapon. And that hope can save us from everything. Even from our own family.
Who is Camino for Maite?
Camino for Maite is light. A new opportunity. And love. Maite, next to her, gives free rein to happiness. She starts believing in herself. That it is possible to be happy. To think that it is achievable. And although she tries to sacrifice herself and run away from her feelings, she just let go. Because love is about that. To feel. Hug, love, caress. Unprejudiced. Without meaningless rules.
And she gives everything for her. Until life is too unfair to continue taking one more hit. And it's much easier to run away. And more complicated. That is why, sometimes, letting time pass can give us a stroke of light in the face of so much darkness.
Maite understands that letting go of what you love the most can be the beginning of everything that is yet to come. The key to return. Go back to pack, hold hands, between red ribbons, and never return.
Who is Maite for Camino?
Maite for Camino is being able to be. Freedom. And love. Camino finds a starting point of what she always had hidden. Unleash her will to live. To live from passion. Believing that everything is possible. That the rules are there to break them. That, at last, she can smile.
Camino finds strength and loyalty. And huge wings to dream. Because the latter is much more important than we can imagine. Dream, believe and trust yourself. And to think that you deserve something much better than what you have. Or what they make you believe you have.
Camino waits for Maite even though she thinks she doesn't. Even if she thinks she has lost hope. But waits unconsciously. She waits because she knows that a love so great and deep cannot be lost between the times dictated by a society that is sick in thoughts and attitude.
