Actress Ylenia Baglietto (Éibar, 1986) won her first television role in Goenkale, the eternal and long-lived Basque series (it ran for 21 years) that also showcased many other artists from the autonomous community (such as Itziar Ituño, from La Casa de Papel).
In 2015 she received the Ercilla Award for Best New Actress for her performance in La Gaviota (Chekhov). And since then (and not before) she has not been shy of anything. In her uninterrupted professional career she has alternated between film (García y García, La pequeña Suiza, Ocho apellidos catalanes) and television (Izan Ginelako, Etxekoak, Allí abajo) and theatre (Yo, la peor del mundo; El imposible mayor en amor, le vence amor; Linda Vista).
Her most notable public impact came in the form of Maite Zaldúa, the character Ylenia Baglietto has brought to life in Acacias 38, on Televisión Española. The series, which tells the story of a bourgeois Spanish neighbourhood where the lives of a group of maids and the families they serve converge, aired its last episode on 4 May.
